The inland portion of the landfill was remediated, where a 120,000-square foot Salvation Army Community Center and 24-acre campus was constructed. WebTook our dog to Higbee beach. It was his first time ever to the ocean and he had a blast, and so did we. The beach was wonderfully uncrowded and very clean. Keep in mind that there are no facilities here, no boardwalk or bathrooms. But it was a great place for a pup to run around and in the water.
